Amy and I were complete beginners and Susan was a brilliant teacher- explaining and demonstrating brilliantly, letting us make our own decisions and mistakes and stepping in if we needed extra guidance!
We loved the relaxed setting of her workshop and made a whole day of her courses by going for a walk at the nearby Devil's punchbowl afterwards. It felt so personal compared to larger community classes and you get so much 1:1 support compared to a bigger class size.
We did the 3 week course and I'm so pleased with what we created! I will definitely be booking in for another course soon and have been recommending it to all my friends and family. Absolutely loved learning something new and being creative.”

“Loved our pottery course with Susan at Combe Cottage. Myself and my daughter are complete novices at pottery. It was a really interesting and enjoyable experience learning something new and seeing, what appeared to be some wobbly pots (mine), transform over the weeks into something surprisingly professional looking. Susan was great at explaining what to do and guiding us through the methods and techniques needed to produce the best work. The processes are very relaxing the end products exceeded our expectations. It's a great way to spend time with friends and family too. Would recommend and will come again.”
